Yes, this is a temporary version. It seems that this issue is a BUG of connman. We will add this fix in 1.4.0
Any news when a permanent fix will be released?
These workarounds did not offer any kind of a workable fix for me. I returned all three (3) Comet units. I would be interested to hear if anyone with a Synology router ever got any kind of DNS resolution working.

Have you tried the temporary firmware release posted above?
This has solved the issue for me with a Synology router running the DNS package on the router.
