I am considering purchasing a Spitz Axe (GL-X3000) for holidays. Often we are now in places where the 4g/5g range is moderate. With my iPhone 16, the internet is almost unuseable. Is the range with a Spitz Axe (GL-X3000) better, or are the antennas of the Spitz Axe (GL-X3000) better than in the iPhone 16?
Hi,
Where the cellular signal is weak, the X3000 has an external cellular antenna, which may be slightly better than the cell phone signal.
But sorry, I'm afraid I can't guarantee the location you are using where the iPhone 16 is almost unusable, whether the X3000 can maintain the available internet speed, that may be required to test it yourself.
Some users shared on the forum, they used larger antennas to enhance the signal:
The short answer is yes. When we are camping there have been locations where the internet was basically unusable on my phone but the X3000 was able to get a connection with decent speeds. In the aforementioned situation the X3000 is located inside the camper which has fiberglass walls. On my next camper I plan on installing an exterior antenna on the camper roof which should improve the signal even more.
