A1300 has official OpenWrt support in snapshot

Thank you, I look forward to hearing back from you.

Spinning a snapshot with (supposedly) full lxc compat now. Will let you know

Do you have the ability to create a working LXC container?

Create yes, if there’s enough disk space. Running into some config issues, but should be fixable I think.

Alpine takes up very little space. Were you able to get this distro up and running?

Thank you very much for your help. I wonder if it would be possible to run Ubuntu in the case of extroot in A1300.

@alzhao
Would it be possible to add dependencies in the official firmware that will allow lxc to run?
As you can see, you don’t need much. Just use the free OpenWRT source.

No way for Ubuntu on A1300

Without checking more details I wonder if this model is powerful enough.

@jdub do you have extroot configured on the A1300? If so, could you try running Ubuntu in LXC?
Thank you very much in advance for your help. I am curious myself if on this device and if it starts, will apt and other applications work.

I don’t know if we understood each other correctly, but I meant Ubuntu in an LXC container on A1300. The host in this case very much stays OpenWRT.
The kernel and regular Ubuntu is too heavy for the A1300.

I don’t, and the image is too large for the available space. Probably not something I’ve got time to do in the short term, sorry.

I see. If I find some more time, I’ll try to run extroot or file link on A1300. I’m just curious if it will run and how it will work.
