AC1200 - Mobile Tether - Unable to Access Local Network

Hello,

Complete network newbie here, so apologies.

I have managed to get my AC1200 to tether using my iPhone. However I seem to loose access to the LAN when doing so. I’m not longer able to connect to devices (including the router) on its IP.

So for example the router is 192.168.0.1 and I have a device which is 192.168.0.251. I can connect to these fine via the LAN when the tethering is disabled but can no longer connect to them once it’s enabled.

I’m assuming there’s some separation of some kind happening here and they’re not on the same network? Is this true? Is there a way to merge the two?

Apologies for the limited understanding.

Thanks

Hi

Could you please clarify the following:

  1. What is the exact model of the device? I assume it’s the SFT1200, but it would be good to confirm
  2. What firmware version is the device running? If it’s not the latest SFT1200 beta v4.8.3, please try updating to that version and see if it helps
  3. So the issue you’re facing is that after using an iPhone to provide internet to the SFT1200 via USB tethering, other devices connected to the SFT1200 LAN (excluding the iPhone) can no longer communicate with each other—is that correct? Can they still access the internet?
