Access points banned on my network -Help pls

Hi,

I’ve just got an AR300M because my wifi signal at university is really bad. I have tried to set it up and the ethernet pass through works well however, when I try to connect a device on the access point setup by the ar300m I get a message saying that personal access points are not allowed on my network. However when I use my laptop(connected to ethernet) as an access point it works fine. Is there a way to fix this?

Did you got this message on admin web page?

In this case, do you mean you set up your laptop as AP, and use AR300M connect to it, it works, right?
