Accessing AR750S from another router

Hi,
My AR750S is connected to my main router (Dlink) with a cable and has 192.168.8.1 LAN IP.

When I am connected to my Dlink router (192.168.0.x), what port do I need to open so I can access the Interface of AR750S?

I remember with AR300M, the WAN option needed to be enabled and a specific port was used. Is it the same with AR750S?

SSH is on port 22 and that is typically firewalled on WAN.

Curious, is there a reason you seem to be set up for double NAT, rather than connecting to the LAN bridge?

I dont want to access ssh just the interface of AR750S while I am connected to my main router.

Most times I don’t directly connect to the AR750S (from my phone or pc). It runs a wireguard client and powers my android/tv/roku for streaming services. If I need to change anything or check the status of connections, I first need to connect to AR750S wifi-AP and then access the interface. I am trying to avoid that. This was actually possible with the AR300M and the old FW 2.2x

You can enable ddns and there are several options like http, https and ssh to enable for the wan side.

For me the AR750S runs perfectly when 2 ports are open.

4) HTTP Remote Access
This function requires a public network IP.
If your router is behind NAT, you may need to set up port forward in higher level router. It use port 80.

For which service(s)? They often have slightly different configuration formats. Non-standard configuration is generally done by editing the files in /etc/config/ directly.

Hi xuggs, I’m trying to do the same as you.
My main router is a Fritzbox 7590 (with public IP) and is connected via LAN-WAN to the Gl.inet.
How did you solve the issue you had accessing the Gl.inet router connected to you main one ?

I’ve already setup port forwarding from the Fritzbox to the Gl.inet router for ports 80 and 443. Still no success when typing the local address of the Gl.inet router (192.168.187.1), nor via the ddns address unfortunately.

I just access with the IP assigned to the GI.inet router by my main router. In my case it’s 192.168.0.173 and accessing that https://192.168.0.173 and I get a prompt to login. On the Gl.inet router, enable HTTPS remote access under Applications.

Hi xuggs,

As said in the previous message, I’ve setup the port forwarding in my main router (pic below) and I’ve also setup the HTTPS remote access.
Unfortunately, accessing https://192.168.188.21 results in a timeout error and no access is possible

Any idea on what I’m doing wrong ?

So you set up DDNS and enabled https access on the AR750? It should work easily.

Hi @alzhao, yes you’re right. But it doesn’t unfortunately: the AR750 says it’s still behind a NAT. And I don’t understand why…

It is behind NAT. Apparently it is.

But you are accessing from behind the NAT as well so it should not be the problem.

Hi @alzhao, not sure to understand what you mean. Currently my only way to access the AR750 is to directly connect to it via LAN/Wifi. No remote access is possible, even though DDNS function is activated in the AR750, and port forwarding is setup in the FritzBox for ports 80 and 443 (as image above).

Any idea on how to solve this ?
