I know Adguard Home is integrated into the GL.iNet firmware and it works great. Technitium DNS server is gaining popularity and would be a nice alternative to AGH. Would it be possible to integrate this into the GL.iNet firmware? Would it be possible to install it on to a GL.iNet router in the meantime?

It appears that Technitium DNS Server is designed primarily for desktop environments rather than embedded devices.
We may need to wait until its dependency on the .NET 9 Runtime, as well as Technitium DNS Server itself, is supported on OpenWRT before it can be ported to the GL.iNet firmware.
In the meantime, you might try running it with Docker on devices that have sufficient performance. It may require using op24 or a vanilla firmware build.
