Just setup Flint GL-AX1800 router and everything went very smoothly except for when I made the admin password. I don't need any help, but I could see this problem making it hard for others.
I used Proton Pass to automatically create a 64 character password. I pasted it in and I was taken to the Admin Panel as if it worked. Problem is, I later found out via this page that it only allows for 63 characters. So what I'm pretty sure happened was that it just cut off the last character, and now I can log in fine.
First time this happened I just reset the router, used a different password I have memorized, and later changed it again to a new 64 char password. When I later tried relogging in I was again met with the same problem.
It's possible this is a problem with something else like my browser or Proton Pass. But when I've made passwords for there sites/services and the password is too long I am met with an error and I'm not allowed to proceed. While most people trying to use a 64 char password are probably smart enough to figure this out too, I wanted to post this somewhere so that maybe a warning could be added to the UI.
If there is a better place for me to post this please let me know and I will try to do so.
Further details in case it helps:
I did this through an Ethernet connection to a computer running Linux, using the Brave Browser (flatpak).
