Hi,

We plan to add support for AmneziaWG 2.0 to the Mudi 7 in the next major firmware release as with other models.

Possibly in v4.9, or it may go directly into v4.10 instead (skipping v4.9 entirely).
The planned timeline has not changed and it is still expected within the next couple of months.

Hi

I noticed that the E5800 v4.10 firmware has entered the testing phase.

If everything goes smoothly, it should be released within this month.

Me too! It's already July 28th in Asia, and I'm really eager to see its release this month.

I checked our internal records and found that the previous testing of Mudi 7 v4.10 failed due to multiple issues being discovered.

However, it looks like those issues have already been fixed, and the firmware has entered a new round of testing.

We are doing our best to see if we can release the stable version tomorrow, which is the last day of July. Wish us luck!

Probably Monday at the earliest, is my best guess while in disappointed that there wasn't an update yesterday I'm still hoping for a Monday release at the earliest hopefully in the morning.

So I'm assuming it will have a large changelog detailing the main changes to the firmware.

May I ask:

  1. is there any changes to the boot time of the unit
  2. I'm curious is the amnieza wireguard, going to be V2 or v3 protocol support
  3. Any plans to add miniupnpd and minissdp packages to the mudi 7?
  4. When the update is finished will it require a factory reset of the mudi 7 for optimal prefomance due to the potential of new configuration options and changes or would that be something to take under advisement.
  5. Will a future update present an option to keep the used data tracking and preserving esim while factory resetting everything else?

My two cents:

lets hope factory reset is avoided since esim info (for me at least) consists of several providers. Is there a V3 of amnezia?

Yes there is actually the official app thing just recently added support for the protocol and wg dashboard had it already for a while.

I can't be bothered to reset since I've got this data usage Counter set already and it i reset I'll lose it.

I read it has a lot of issues but I'm using self hosted with wg dashboard so I haven't tried it out yet exactly I've been having issues with the app on Android always it's never worked for me
