OK, I got it. Maybe you need to try another VGA-->HDMI adapter. Some one had test the " BENFEI VGA to HDMI Adapter". you can try it.

Yes once I changed the device type to the 'Corsair Gaming RGB', I was able to use the hotkey functions. Otherwise it would not work with the USB keyboard port only the USB Sharing port. I hope they make a multi port comet one day!
