will the GUI from main branch be add to the OpenWrt 24? Also any future updates? latest update was in October.

openWRT 24 will arrive to the devices depending of the decisions of the chipset makers. If Qualcomm/Mediatek/Siflower decides not to release openWRT 24 on their chipsets, it won't arrive. This isn't GL.Inet decision unfortunately. But GL.Inet can make new features in their firmwares based on features of openWRT24, without the need of upgrading the openWRT base version.
We already have openwrt24 
Really like to see a higher build for gl sdk on op24. 
Although there might be a few situations they might consider holding back.

The second one may breaks the build process, but can be fixed by manually compiled them rather than bake packages in the image which concurently share the same configuration file.
