Any way to change how my router look in repeater mode?

Especially i want to hide my routers name:

As you see on picture routers owner to which I connect in repeater mode can see by device name what it is. Can I hide it fully?

By default it was specified as my router model from factory. I changed to "Hostname" but I want to hide it fully.

Please check the advanced settings while joining a network: Repeater - GL.iNet Router Docs 4

Especially “random” MAC will solve this issue. The device name itself is totally useless, you can even set it to “washing machine” - the MAC is the important thing.

This fixed my problem. Partly. I was able to bypass automatic check.

Unfortunately my company bans everything that named other then "phone" or "pc" by hands (manually). I made my laptop not to transmit it's name (Linux powered) and it is NOT banned. So I wanna hide my router name from upper router

Enable camouflage .. it will change the router name to the clients name for DHCP and it will set the MAC address with the same 6-hex-digits (vendor) as your client device, it's not a full MAC clone the other 6 digits are different.

Very strange interpretation of what "camouflage" is. Tested this as well, and the used MAC address after enabling camouflage is ... 08:8F:C3:0E:F8:B8 Don't know where this comes from . But on Mudi v2 (my other router) no such setting, maybe @bruce or @alzhao will help?

It seems to be different in routers. On my Spitz v2 and Puli routers there is no such feature. 4.3.19 is latest available. Yeah, I have four different GL routers. Love them!

Seems to be fixed via Luci

Network -> interfaces -> select each interface and check if "Do not send hostname" selected.

But it seems to be temporary solution. I hope my Spitz, Puli and Mudi will have this feature in the future?

For now without adjustments in Luci only Flint on latest beta works.
