AR300M-Lite Firmware Update

Running a AR300M-Lite for a hotel router while traveling. I was dusting it off for our next adventure and I see there is a shiny new firmware available.

Actually I haven't updated it in a bit. It is currently at 4.3.7 and I see V4.3.22 is available. But I can't put my finger on it but there is something rolling around in my little brain - that I chose not to go higher than 4.3.7 because of some feature not available above that?? I tried a bit of googling - but didn't see anything. I know we lost file sharing moving up to 4.3.7. Did we get that back?

So - okay here is the question - is there any operational reduction by moving to the latest V4.3.22. Are you allowed to downgrade if I later find out what I was missing?

Sorry - just being extra careful.

Thanks

Yup, always. But make sure to have the old firmware file around (or it is still available for download)

I don't know about any things that get lost with 4.3.22 - File sharing get lost earlier and isn't back yet, afaik.

Well - if it is reversible - why not. Downloaded 4.3.7 and 4.3.22 and put in a good place. Then clicked update on the web gui of the router and let it try and do it automatically.

That was 3 minutes ago and all seems good so far. It worked great and kept all my settings. It reconnected my VPN automatically - something that V4.3.7 didn't do frequently.

Thanks for your answer - it gave me the feeling of security I needed.
