AR750S EXT 802.1x EAP WPA2 with v4.3.18 firmware

Hello. I have upgraded my AR750S EXT from v3 but can no longer use repeater for my connection to 802.x EAP WPA2 network. Can you advise a solution. I have clicked on "Join other network", use SSID of my network with "WPA/WPA2/WPA3 Enterprise" selection for security, and my username and password credentials. I receive the following error with correct credentials:

"Connection failed, will retry later…
Incorrect username or password.
While attempting to reconnect, your router will periodically scan for Wi-Fi networks, and your guest Wi-Fi network will be temporarily unavailable during this scan."

In LUCI in advanced settings, I don't see the client.

I have tried directly editing /etc/config/wireless but discovered if it does not make a connection, the configuration gets removed. I then tried using uci key values but the repeater still fails to connect.

AR750S probably does not support the EAP connection.

BTW, does the username have symbol @?

Hello Bruce. No symbol in the username, but a symbol in the password.

AR750S EXT supports EAP. I was using it for 5 years. When I upgraded to v4.3.18 from v3.x it will no longer connect with the firmware you provide and the firmware does not offer the same options for enterprise connection as before. Can you explain.

If I attempt to connect via uci or wpa_supplicant, should I still be setting up a connection for repeater via the Internet interface in administration for switching? If so, should it still be set up with 'Join other network' with enterprise WPA selection? To be clear, using that selection by itself will not give me a connection.

I have another network I can connect to locally that I have configured that is not an enterprise connection and it works fine. Trouble is, I have used the WPA2 enterprise network as default and the second network as the fallback and wish to continue doing so.

If I can only potentially obtain a working connection with uci or wpa_supplicant, what is your recommendation for network switching. Will I have to start the network from SSH each time, and if so, how do I prevent the second client from taking over.

Hi. I made an error on my part with username with a mistaken digit. Everything works as expected with admin interface. Despite the error, I learned how to configure using LUCI, edit the config directly, and generate it using uci key values. Thank you Bruce for your reply regardless.
