I have an AR750S with a custom DNS set to the Pi-hole I have set up on the LAN. This works well enough for most applications but my smart TV still shows ads, probably due to DNS hard-coding. I see that the 3.203 software version has an “Override” setting on the custom DNS page that is intended to resolve this issue. Unfortunately, when I turn it on, it breaks DNS, probably because there’s no exception for the Pi-hole (which, as previously mentioned, is the configured DNS server for the LAN).
Is there any way to resolve this? Add an exception for the Pi-hole? Does anyone have this specific scenario working?
