That didn’t seem to do anything. I also tried it the other way around. I do have a multimeter, though I don’t really know how to use it that well haha.

I am having the same issue. is this a normal thing with this product? What is interesting is that the passthrough seems to work without issue as I am able to power the board using the button, but it will not work through the comet.
Could you please confirm that the connection is corrrect. The ATX board should also connect to Comet's usb port.
Please execute atxpower /dev/ttyACM0 click_power_short in Terminal and offer us with the outcome?
If still not work, try reversing the polarity of POWER SW (The pins that connect to the motherboard )
Thank you for replying. Got home and tried the solution, and it worked. Weird that I was able to still reset and turn it on using the buttons on the front panel. Question how do I check the firmware on the board and how do i flash it (if it ever needs to be).
In short term, The firmware for accessories typically does not receive updates.
The upgrade option is merely a safeguard. If an upgrade becomes necessary later, it can be performed locally via KVM.

Hi,
I have the same issue too. Just got my ATX board today ordered together with Comet Pro (GL-RM10) from the kickstarter. Comet Pro works fine, but the ATX controller from GUi doesn’t work no matter how I change the pins. The only thing that works is the reset button. But shutdown doesn’t work, neither short or long press.
Physical power button works perfectly though.
What else can I try?

Also after switching polarity of POWER SW again. I’ve tried this now maybe 10 times with no success.
Restart is the only only that seems to work, but only when the server is started of course.
Physical ON/Off works normally.

I was originally experiencing the same issue (Short/Long Press commands weren’t working, even though everything else was functioning properly), but it started working after I reconnected everything.
I used the alternative PWR_LED instead of PLED because I typically have another device connected to the PLED header.
Motherboard: Gigabyte X570 AORUS ULTRA (Rev. 1.2) with 20-5 pin F_PANEL layout
Case: Phanteks Enthoo Pro Tempered Glass ATX Full Tower
Remote KVM: GL-RM1
ATX Board: GL-ATXPC

To me the led layout is always:

On multiple pcs I had over time this exact layout, the pitfalls with this however is that sometimes the PLEDs are so tiny that the Power SW which often is more than 1 pin, skipped a pin and one PLED is on a single pin of the power SW and the other PLED is on the last pin.
^ (It's rare if it differs for the layout)
This means there is one pin free in the middle you barely see, I 100% of the time make this mistake when assembling new pcs, with atx boards especially I never change power SW or reset pled, I first check these single pin ones.
But the polarity of the +PLED and -PLED sometimes need a change so they are inverted.
The only difficulty I had was that there was also a second row with pins on the atx board which confused me, it was not clear to me which part of the two was designed for the case leds and which part was for the atx controller to the motherboard.
I believe I had it on the first right for the case and the second row for motherboard.
What I also recommend is keep it lose, you can try forcing some leds, if power sw works as expected you can check reset, that is how I did it initially, you can also change the parity on the atx board if that had better access. 
I have the same exact issue as the original poster of this thread. I’ve tried swapping polarity, swapping the header, firmware update, power cycle, disconnecting and reconnecting everything, tried the atxpower command (displays “success”, but does nothing), nothing works. The actual power button from the front panel works passing through the board.
I found this thread in hopes that there would be a solution, but there isn’t. I bought it on Amazon in the USA - should I just return it?

I don’t understand the question. If you’re asking which header I plugged the front panel into, I already mentioned in my previous comment that I’ve tried both headers. If that’s not what you’re asking, please help clarify.
The forum software won’t let me upload a photo. But why would you even need a photo? I already mentioned that I’ve tried both polarities and the actual front panel button works passing through the board, so that proves that the DuPont connector is on the correct two pins.
Thanks for your info provided.Just wanna to check the connection. We have some users that have the right connection but won’t work. If you done all the test(include below) and still don’t work maybe you should return it.
The panel button both works and UI not work when you switch the polarity (the cable connected to the PWR+ and PWR-)
