Automating with the Gl.iNet 64XX series of routers

Way long time ago…

Here connected an RTC with a single one wire temperature sensor inside of the Gl.iNet 6416 I had. Worked well.

Just purchased a new tinker toy here to play with and it works well. (current testing is with an old original RPi). Many folks are writing sketches for use with the Arduino. Here thinking of battery powering 6416 outdoor to transmit sensor data indoors.

Looking to battery power the 6416 device for outdoor use. Maybe a small solar charging circuit ?

Any ideas what would work for outdoors?

If it is using I2C, it could work with all our router, right?
