Beryl 7 (GL-MT3600BE)?

@will.qiu @bruce Is there a reason why the Beryl 7 won't have more RAM than the Beryl AX? It would truly be a missed opportunity if this is indeed the case. There should be at least 1GB of RAM in a 2026 product, preferably 2GB!

I think I'm going to regret this, but 512 seems fine to me. My Beryl AX running two wireguard clients, vnstat, and other stuff is loping along using at best 60%, most of it cache.

Why regret it? 512MB for a travel router seems ok to me as well. I look forward and welcome its release.

I meant, regretting stepping into this repetitive discussion. My experience with 512 is fine.

Aye, I understand. We'll be ok though. If someone doesn't want to get one, they don't have to, there's other units that have more RAM.

Are you allowed to reveal read and write speeds, when an external drive is attached to the router via USB port?

I noticed on the site Beryl 7 has 2.0ghz quad-core cpu is that a typo considered other models show closer speeds to 1,3ghz including the slate 7 ?

That is pretty huge , 1gb/s wireguard speed is pretty sweet similar like my Flint 2 to some specs in such small travel router.

For me this actually benefits me with moonlight streaming quite well over wireguard tunnels.

It’s not an typo—the Beryl 7’s CPU is indeed a quad-core running at 2.0 GHz.
This is one of the reasons we’re able to achieve such high VPN throughput.

Was almost pulling the trigger but the color turned me down, I guess my Slate AX still have some running to do….. :person_shrugging:

Is the Firmware of Berly 7 Amnezia WG ready with the obfuscation button ?

as for 4.8.5 no. I don't see a obfusucation button  but it is using the new vpn dashboard.

then we wait for 4.9 - the new vpn dashboard has nothing to it with AmneziaWG 1.5x
