Beryl AX corruption on power bank

I thought I would try my Beryl AX with iPhone tether and power bank. Reason is emergency use in power cut scenario. Cellular coverage here is very poor so I took the router to another room in the house with better coverage. Long story short, I'm guessing the power supply wasn't sufficient (65 watt PD capable) for the router and iPhone and the router proceeded to brick itself. Put it back on its supplied wall wart and no WiFi, no ethernet, dead to the outside world. It came back with a hard reset but I lost all my config - yes my bad for not backing it up. Anyway, lesson learnt but is this a common problem? Do people successfully use on power bank with tethered smart phone?

Hi,

We don’t believe we’ve ever encountered a case where insufficient power caused the configuration to be lost. Is it possible that the reset button was accidentally pressed while moving the device?

Some of our customers use the Beryl AX together with a power bank and mobile USB tethering, so it should generally work fine.

However, please note that the Beryl AX requires a 5V/3A power supply, so you should make sure the power bank supports the appropriate output level.
