I’m using the beryl as a travel router. When setting it up as a vpn client on the home ISP it connected to the internet fine.
Now I am connecting to it in another router and I can’t access the internet. I get the message that the router is connected but the internet can’t be accessed. This message I get through WiFi and Ethernet.
This is all new to me, first time I have done anything like this, so have some patience please.
Is Beryl AX repeater or ethernet connected to the primary router?
This another router that Beryl AX is connected to (Internet abnormality), is the Internet of that router normal? Like, your phone/laptop is directly connected to that router, check if the Internet is normal.
If it still problem, please export the syslog (Admin Panel > System > Log) and send it to me via PM.
Ah, ok, so what I want to do is for my IP address to show as being on my home IP even when I am travelling. Will using AmneziaWG still give me that privacy? What I have been told is to use Wireguard - I am guessing AmneziaWG is part of Wireguard, actually.
Also, is it possible that my ISP router overseas is behind CGNAT and blocks the wireguard client?
Oh I see, do you need Beryl AX able to connect to home server, and show your home IP address?
I think you can find a Raspberry Pi or NAS at home and build an own AmneziaWG sever, a server running the AmneziaWG protocol to have an obfuscation effect.
Here you go:
Yes, but the AmneziaWG has some additional confusion parameters compared than standard WireGuard, making it more robust and often better adapted in some networks.
Oh, if you have another MT3000 at home and set up as VPN server, you don't need to deploy an AmneziaWG server on the Raspberry Pi. Just upgrade that MT3000 to the beta firmware and enable obfuscation.
