I see this is a known issue (WPA3), but is there any work being done for this on the firmware? I don’t want to downgrade my main router WIFI settings to WPA2 just to support the Beryl.
To clarify - router will not connect to D-Link on 5G with WPA3 on, but it will connect fine on 5G with WPA3 off and WPA2 on. Same applies for 2.4G.
The firmware has some bugs in it - for example, the WIFI connection keeps dropping during the inital wireless repeater setup. A bit annoying but workable.
Thanks, can’t wait to see cleaner versions of this firmware.
We tested the SFT1200 with firmware v4.8.3 locally, and it was able to connect to a WPA3 Wi-Fi network normally in Repeater mode.
Could you please try upgrading your Opal to v4.8.3 and test the WPA3 connection again?
Since you also have the MT3000, it would also be helpful if you could temporarily set the MT3000 Wi-Fi security to WPA3 and try connecting the Opal to the MT3000 Wi-Fi in Repeater mode.
This comparison can help us determine whether the issue is specific to the connection between the Opal and the D-Link router.
