Based on my 4.8.3 beta experiences it looks like this feature has been removed. Please bring it back. The "stronger" requirements are not really stronger if someone already know that "stronger" password. It is not another real security layer, but a confusing and not so user friendly step backward. Since the router can block attempts it makes absolutely no sense to make the users life harder while the recent requirements are already fine enough.

Hi,
Truly sorry about this.
For security reasons, we have to remove this option to enhance the router's protection.
In fact, if the router's SSH/GL GUI ports are accidentally exposed to the public Internet, probably due to stronger passwords, the difficulty of dictionary attacks would be at least higher, requiring more time, which means a higher cost to crack, give up the attack. (But we cannot avoid continuous malicious deciphering.)
We apologize for the inconvenience caused.
