Can the GL-A1300 be powered from USB 3.0 (900mA)?

Is it possible to power the GL-A1300 from a USB 3.0 port? (ie. 900mA)

According to the specifications it uses less than 6.5W but I can’t find any information on the minimum requirement. (no services running; only wi-fi repeater/bridge mode)

5V * 0.9A = 4.5W. I’m not sure I’d risk it.

Hi Sofakng,The maximum output of USB3.0 is 1500mA, i.e. it can support 6.5W. The minimum power requirement of A1300 is 3.5W.

However, I’m pretty sure standard USB 3.0 only supports 900mA. There are other USB standards that allow higher power but a standard USB 3.0 port is only 900mA.

Also, you mention 3.5W as the minimum power requirement. Is the device stable at this power? Does the power ever peak up to 6.5W? (if so the 900mA would be insufficient and I’m guessing the USB fuse would blow or the device would crash, etc).
