I’ve tried goodlife, root, blank “blank” Wireless# have reset the router. It was not in my paperwork.
Any ideas?

Usually the password is printed on the back of the device.
I wasn't logging in with wifi. There is no heading that says “password” so is it the wifi key? SSID?. I manged to get in but I'm still not sure what the password is if I ever have to do a reset?

How did you get in without knowing the password? 
The Wi-Fi password is printed on the back; the login password for the GUI is set by the user. If you don't know it, you need to fully reset your router.
There is no password for ethernet, just for wifi. There was a lag before getting into the system for me so be patient if you are having the same problem. The first couple of times I reset the router I didn’t wait long enough for the light to start flashing 5 times per second. I’ll have to switch to decaf coffee.

im talking about the admin portal instructins say it will prompt ne to create pw but its just asking for 0ne
There’s no default admin password on a new GL router. Try factory resetting it.
