I'm trying to SSH into my new Beryl router. The instructions I've seen say to use "root" as the username, and the password used for the Web admin interface. So I enter:
$ ssh root@192.168.8.1
and I type in the admin password I used at setup. The password is rejected. Yes, I'm certain I'm typing the password correctly. I've used the same password from a couple of devices with Web browsers, it works fine there.
I'm not interested in remote SSH access, so I don't want GoodCloud; I just want to be able to ssh locally.
What am I doing wrong?
