Cascading Two AXT1800 Routers (Streaming Softball)

Quick and simple. I’m trying to use two AXT1800 routers to extend wifi to a camera in centerfield (softball-200’). I tried one router but was getting a very choppy signal.

As a reference this is my current setup (one router):

  • iPad w/cellular as hotspot.
  • Router connected as a repeater.
  • 4 cameras (1B, 3B, Homeplate, & Centerfield)
  • Router stationed either at 1B or 3B depending what dugout we’re in.
  • iPad stationed in dugout

All cameras work fine except centerfield.

So, my new thought was to keep same setup but add another router with camera in centerfield.

Not really sure how to do it with confidence.

What would you guys recommend?

Hi,

If your camera only needs internet access to function as expected, you can simply purchase another device and connect it via Repeater mode to the existing iPad / AXT1800 SSID.

If you need to access it via an IP address, you may consider configuring the second router in Extender/WDS mode.
