Currently have a GL-X3000 running firmware v4.7. Works great, but i have a Verizon sim setup using onboard SIM slot and then an external hotspot running Calyx (tmobile). Calyx now offers a SIM card instead of forcing a hotspot, so wanted to use the X3000 instead since the antennas are so much better.
Since only one SIM can be active at a time, is there some option to have it activate each one test performance and then default to the better one? I understand there are failover options, but since i travel from place to place I basically have to do this manually at each location.
Currently the GL firmware does not support this feature. Sorry.
To implement this new function, we may also need a server that tests the network speed or cooperates with third-party server like speedtest.net, and the other hand, we have to know users' usage logic and if whether a large number of users need this kind of functionality.
If enable this feature, user have to understand that the network speed test will consume a certain amount of traffic when it runs the speedtest, etc.
