Configure gl-ar750s

I have an Ethernet device (it’s a PLC, but it could be a camera or anything else) we will call it 192.168.8.2

I have the gl-ar750s we will call it 192.168.8.1

I want to be able to log onto my computer and communicate directly with address 192.168.8.2 over WiFi.

I have updated the firmware to 4.3.25

I can plug the computer & the device with cables and ping both the gl-ar750 & the device.

I can’t make it work over WiFi At all

I am setting as an LAN.

I don’t know if it should be an “Access Point” because it’s not a network, it’s a device.

Any advice on how to do what i want with the pieces I have?

192.168.8.0/24 is the default subnet (LAN) if set as 'Router' including over Wi-Fi.

That would be best done with a static IP/DHCP reservation so the client device doesn't change its IP if reconnecting some time in the future. GL GUI -> Network -> LAN -> Private Network:

This is a bot. Mark my words.

22 hrs. Called it.

Which is a bot?

Because the m feeling called out… and I’m stupid about this …. But I’m real… i just haven’t gotten back to the device to try it, so I haven’t updated the thread yet.

No, no... I'm not calling anyone out. I was saying that the (former) previous poster ITT, one supposed 'james598patton' is a bot. I was right. 'Bot hunting' is a fun little distraction I sometimes engage in on this forum.
