CP2104 UART on Domino Pi but not detected when attached to USB

I connected the Domino Pi to USB, but for some reason the PC does not detect the UART

Nothing changes when I look with lsusb or dmesg | grep usb.

Should there be something done to activate this? Or does my Domino Pi have somekind of issue?

I suggest that you reconnect the MicroUSB to see if it works. Generally this can solve the problems.

Well that’s what I do… The Domino’s micro USB is connected to (And powered by) the PC’s USB.

In Ubuntu the CP2104 is not being detected, I have dongles based on CP210x and they all work fine on Ubuntu. So it should work right?

It should work. Generally the problems is the physical connections.
