Custom openvpn server config

I have an openvpn server running on an mt300n. I would like to tweak the config. I update /etc/openvpn/ovpn/server.ovpn, but when I restart the server the config gets overwritten. How can I preserve my changes?

Perhaps just copy the config and edit it in a text editor, then upload it in the gui?

Use /etc/init.d/vpn-service reload instead of restarting server on web panel.

Thanks, I’ll do that. I’ll test, but I assume this will survive a power cycle of the unit.
