Do GLKVMs support HDCP?

I’m trying to setup “remote support” for my mother on her Android phone and ZTE Android TV Box. The TV isn’t smart - Internet/TV provider gives you an Android TV box that’s connected to TV via HDMI. Since her TV is 1080p - the Comet PRO could work.

But the question is if DHCP stuff would get in the way?

Using TeamViewer Host on the Android TV box - I can remotely see home screen, apps, various menus/settings …etc. But the moment I try to play back something for her - there’s an error and the box refuses to (re)play content.

Turns out it’s because of remote TeamViewer connection. When I disconnect TeamViewer from her Android TV Box - play back works fine. Hence why I’m now wondering about about Comet Pro.

We have not tested whether HDCP can be transmitted to the TV side.

To be honest, I think the HDCP feature on TV boxes is pretty useless. It's often either unavailable or doesn't work properly.

Android TV boxes often block protected video playback when screen-sharing or remote-control software is active. This is not caused by DHCP or your network—it’s caused by DRM (Digital Rights Management) and HDCP (High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection).
