This device is on the “supported” modem list for the gl-ar150 router but this modem is not recognized when plugged into the USB port. It there a simple solution to this please, or is there a way to configure either the modem or router so it all works?
Does your E8372 work in Tethering modem? There should be a setting to put it in tethering (hilink) mode.
Then you should find it as a tethering device in the router.
Thanks for your reply. Yes, it does, but I figure that tethering is a slower mode. I just don’t know why the router would not find the USB modem when everything says it should. I want the pair to work as fast as possible.
USB modem driver is much more complicated.
Tethering is more compatible.
