I think if you do envrypted the DNS shows sometimes ipaddress from russia and thats the red flag right there, i just did this setting and i noticed that the dns i see it says russia, in new wireguard there is one more option which says allow custom dns , what you say
Curious regarding "block all non-vpn traffic" concept but if to use talescale + exitnode.
Will it cut connection with outer world if exit node is down? Or can it leak some traffic anyway passing around exit node? (Btw saw on reddit that there is subset of IPs that need to be routed "explicitly" via exit node, since by default they aren't)

"Block all non-vpn Traffic" does not work with Tailscale. If you enable it, connection should go down.
Oh, i know this. Sorry for confusion.
What i rather meant: is usage of tailscale exit node gives us same guarantees, kind of "to block all outgoing non-exit-node traffic"? Talescale does not emphasise it in their docs...
Hi, sorry I’m new to all this and am getting confused with reading through all the comments. I have a flint2 home router and two BerylAx one set up with WireGuard as a server and the other as a client. The flyny2 has port forwarding to my berylax server . I’m confused about the DNS options and is it necessary to set up ZeroTier as well as WireGuard? The seems to be a lot of DNS setting options on the berylax router. This is my first time attempting to work from abroad. I’m a bit nervous as our company forbids working from abroad but I have a sick family member and my family is more important than my job. I’m hoping this works, just want to be sure the DNS won’t be an issue for me.
