I have a question regarding eSIM support for the Mudi E750v2. I recently read a thread about this topic and tried following the instructions shared by another user (who had successfully installed eSIM on a different router). Unfortunately, it didn’t work for me.
Perhaps my router’s processor or firmware version is different, or I might have missed something. I would really appreciate any help or advice you can provide. It would be even better if someone could share updated instructions specifically for the Mudi E750v2.
I’ve included my router’s specifications below for reference:
Modem Name: EM060KGLAAR01A12M2GA
Architecture
Qualcomm Atheros QCA9533 ver 2 rev 0
OpenWrt Version
OpenWrt 22.03.4 r20123-38ccc47687
Kernel Version
5.10.176
May I know what problem did you encounter?
The esim is plugged in but the router cannot read it? The profile cannot be installed into esim? Cannot connect to the cellular network?
Please refer to the following official docs to check first:
No, no. My goal is to understand. If I have a router straight out of the box and the eSIM firmware won't just turn on like that, do I have to buy a physical eSIM card?
@EvolvePlease Is it screen from Mudi E750v2? Which version of firmware? I’ve a physical esim but in firmware 4.8.3 it’s not listed under “Seed profile” but there is in “Normal Profile”
Your eSIM is simpoyo, which probably has a different ICCID pattern. I suspect only original eiotclub ICCID are identified as seed profile. Just a guess - someone from GL would know.
These devices (hardware and firmware) are unsuitable for enterprise or mission critical. They are hobbyist devices that require patience and a willingness to deal with buggy firmware (i.e.: everyone is a beta tester ).
