I've ordered the GL-X3000 which I'm super excited about! But I've got some questions about using external antennas with this router/modem.
My main questions has to do with how the router uses MIMO, I'm aware that to get the best the best out of or in some cases even use 5G you need multiple antennas hence the MIMO support. (My goal is for a decent 4g connection until a get a 4x4 mimo antenna)
Could I use an antenna that I already have mounted (I believe it's the waveform griddy but if not then it's very similar.) This antenna only has one output, so could I connect this to the main Antenna port and still get a decent signal until i get a sufficient 4x4 mimo antenna. While still having the paddle antennas connected to the other ports of course, could I still get atleast a decent 4g connection without also using the div connection? I live in a very wooded area, but I've already done strength tests to some bands and have gotten around -80dbm using a mofi4500 to scan.
