I am working with the KVM over PoE and installed it locally managed. I saw a lot of external traffic from the device. Most of it seems checking connectivity, but there is some traffic I cannot explain.
The box is constantly talking to 74.125.250.129 on UDP/19302. I cannot recognize any purpose for the constant chatter there. Can you tell me what happens there?
UDP/19302 is for STUN/TURN, it's a protocol that allows for peer-to-peer connectivity across multiple networks and likely used for simplified cloud access. 74.125.250.129 is owned by Google, likely the TURN service provider (but I wouldn't trust the geography of the IP address in most geo IP lookups, Google uses routing updates to move IP blocks around a lot).
Every few dozen seconds, it uses Google STUN to detect whether your network has experienced a change in public IP address or NAT type, aiming to improve the success rate of WebRTC hole punching.
