Have anyone tried to use Fibocom L850-GL M.2 with GL-MIFI?
Also, where I could purchase a GL-MIFI without a LTE module?
The hardware interface is compatible. But it seems there not Fibocom driver support in OpenWRT source tree, you might need to add the driver by yourself.
I am currently to use it with OpenWRT via USB adapter right now. Will that work with the M.2 interface?

If the modem works already in OpenWrt with an mPCI-E → USB adapter then sure. The modem is connected in the same way inside the Mifi.
The GL store only sells with a modem, you will need to order it from Ebay or Aliexpress without one.

Pls confirm it is m2 or PCIe. They are not compatible.
Mifi requires PCIe module.
It’s m2. Would M2 to PCIe adapter work?
