Hello! I am a semi-professional CS2 player. I live with my girlfriend and she uses the Wi-Fi to watch Netflix or scroll through TikTok. I connected via ethernet cable. To prevent this from affecting my gameplay, I bought a Flint 2 router and configured SQM using "piece of cake", capping my bandwidth at 90%. Although I get an A+ rating on Waveform, I still haven't been able to fix my in-game jitter spikes. Could you please help me? and also i attached my waveform results and screenshots.
Hi,
Thank you for your feedback.
Could you please confirm whether the jitter issue still occurs when only CS2 is using the network, with other devices or applications temporarily disconnected?
Also, could you please let us know whether the issue happens only in CS2 or if you experience similar latency fluctuations in other online games or applications?
Thank you for your cooperation.
An A+ bufferbloat score with jitter still spiking often points past SQM. Since you're wired, check for CPU or NIC power-saving on your PC, and set your monitor's game to a stable tickrate server. Try pinging your router vs the game server to isolate whether jitter is local or upstream, if it's clean to the router, it's your ISP or route, not the Flint. Also test with SQM briefly off, "piece of cake" can add latency on some CPUs under load.
