After a storm recently, the LAN ports on my Flint 2 would not work. I could not connect to the internet, nor connect to my NAS directly. The Wi-Fi still operated properly, and power cycling the router did not fix it. Anyone ever have this happen, or am I just unlucky? Got a new router (Flint 3e), and the network connections on the NAS and my PC are just fine. Anything I can do with the Flint 2, or is it just done?
I used to do tech support for Time Warner and I would see this everytime someone would hav a storm, they would phone in and the router and most often the NIC would be “pooched”. Unless they make routers a heck of a lot better than back in mid 2000’s, I’d say you need a new router as well as better whole house grounding.
Hi,
Based on the symptoms and the fact that the issue occurred after a storm, it is possible that a power surge may have caused damage to the LAN ports.

Funny enough, my records show I bought it on July 4th of 2024, and this happened June 21st. Covered, or no?
