This is discussed in a couple of other topics, but the solutions suggested don’t work.
My ask is simple: how do I run two APs on the 2.4 GHz radio phy on Flint 3? I tried manually adding the config in uci files, tried luci, tried reconfiguring the guest AP slot to be on the lan network – nothing seems to work. I can’t be the only one wanting to use this? It’s a basic feature which works fine with vanilla OpenWrt, Flint 2 has no issues with this.
So how do I add a second AP configuration to the 2.4 GHz radio on Flint 3?
Added the wifi-iface as suggested. It does show up in the list of available APs when scanning, but association to the AP fails for some reason. This is now on a remote location and testing isn’t easy, but luckily I have access to another OpenWrt host and a Raspberry pi connected over ethernet which allow me to scan and test associations. Just tested connecting with `iwd` from the raspberry – it fails consistently.
This is a bit unusual—it’s working normally on our end.
Could you share the contents of /etc/config/wireless so we can take a look?
