Flint 3 - Random issue with upload speeds

Good morning all,

I’ve encountered a weird issue with my Flint 3. I have a 900/900Mbit connection and up until recently it has been working fine. I did a speed test the other day (can’t pinpoint exactly when it started) and noticed the download was fine, upload was not (was stuck at around 320Mbit). Tested a 3rd party router and all of a sudden speeds were back to normal.

Put the Flint 3 back into place and again the uploads became a lot slower. Bear in mind it had been working fine until recently. Did a factory reset, no difference. So I started to investigate further and turned HW acceleration off and all of a sudden it’s working perfectly. So there appears to be an issue with HW acceleration on the latest firmware. Not sure why it’s suddenly started happening but something worth watching out for.

That seems a bit strange.

Have you tried connecting only the test PC to the Flint 3 with all other wired and wireless devices disconnecting ? We have previously encountered cases where certain devices on the LAN caused the entire LAN speed to slow down.

However, if disabling Hardware Acceleration does not impact your use case, you can simply leave it turned off.
