I know the system allows me to schedule a reboot by day of week and time but I would prefer to schedule a reboot on the 1st of each month. Any suggestions?
Via searching this forum I did find some discussion of Chron jobs and a link to a document from 2015. Other than clicking through it I don't have any experience with Luci, nor with writing Chron code. I am willing to learn.
Hi, thank you for your feedback. Some routers may encounter issues if they run continuously, so it's necessary to reboot them regularly. We have supported rebooting the router on a special day, like the one shown in this picture
Setting up a cron job is pretty easy, but why is the one month period necessary? Although it can easily be done, as you can see above. Once a day, a week, or a month, it all works - just do it in the middle of the night (or more accurately, when the router is not likely to be in use)
Hi Alisa: That would be perfect, unfortunately I don't see the Month, Day, Hour option on my Fllint 3. I only see the piece in the box you highlighted in red. Am I looking in the wrong place?
Hi 2lame: Thanks for your reply!! I like to reboot my router every so often and I have always used monthly. I could do it weekly but that seems excessive. The solution above would be perfect, unfortunately I can't seem to find it in the settings on my router.
They weren’t saying that it was available at the moment. They were asking if the design concept would be sufficient for you. It looks like they are considering it in a future release.
