Flint 3, "TypeError _(...).format is not a function"

I got a GLiNet router to be able to setup VLAN, Now I learn there’s no GUI for that,

I need to go into LUCI,

Almost every page don’t load and show this red error instead.

Hi

Have you installed any third-party plugins or used opkg upgrade to update some OS dependencies?

It appears Luci's runtime environment has been corrupted.
Please try restoring the device to factory settings to recover it.

I’ve installed maybe 2 or 3 plugins that were suggested online.

I wish there was an installed date in the list.

There’s 600 plugins installed by default and there’s no way to find which one the user installed unless he remembers.

Is there a way to backup and restore the settings without restoring these plugins?

Third-party plugins are managed and installed via OPKG, which is developed and maintained by the upstream OpenWRT community.
Therefore, for inquiries regarding installed date, we recommend reaching out directly to the OpenWRT community for feedback.
(Please note that newer OpenWRT versions have transitioned to APK, so OPKG-related requests may no longer be supported.)

If you can still access Luci’s System interface, you can generate a backup file via:
Luci → System → Backup / Flash Firmware.

Alternatively, you can SSH into the router and run the following command to create a backup file manually:

sysupgrade -b backup.tar.gz

After that, please reset the router and re-import the backup file through the same interface.

If this doesn't work, the only remaining option may be to reset the device to factory settings and reconfigure it from scratch.

I just got a brand new Flint 3 and i get this exact error when i go to most menus in Luci > Network.

I mainly want to setup ipv6 firewall.. which you cannot do with this error.

I have not installed anything or setup anything apart from the first setup screen after installing each firmware with all settings cleared.

As soon as i do the basic setup screen - i go to advanced > install Luci

GL-BE9300 Flint 3
I have tried 4.8.1, 4.7.14, 4.8.2

All of these show the same error - all with only the basic setup screen done.

We tested the firmware version and general steps you mentioned but were unable to reproduce the issue.

Could you please share the specific configuration steps taken after installing the firmware?

Alternatively, connect the device to GoodCloud and share access with us so we can remotely investigate.

I worked it out - looks like its only an issue with brave browser.

works in chrome

I’ve backed up, factory reset the router, and restored.

None of the plugin seems to have reinstalled,

I still get the error on Chrome at https://192.168.8.1:8443/cgi-bin/luci/admin/network/firewall/zones

I tried in Firefox, It works! Still my Chrome is pretty fresh with no addons.

Does Chrome have any ad-blocking or script-management extensions installed? If using Incognito/Private browsing mode without these enabled, does Luci function properly?
