Flint 3e - Where does it stand?

Hi,

I’ve signed up for the Flint 3e beta testing program and I suggest you do too if you haven’t yet!

I’m wondering where the 3e stands in regards to the Flint range, is it a upgrade of the Flint 3 or is it a slightly cheaper less powerful version?

I know the specs wont be released for some time but it would be good to know the niche it’s being made to fit.

Judging by the specs the router is a dual band WiFi 7 router with 2.4 and 5ghz only, no 6ghz band. Technically a WiFi 7 router but without the 6ghz band. On paper this would suggest it sits below the original Flint 3 in terms of performance however I suppose it could have better wireguard throughput depending what CPU is being used.

My guess is that it will be a cheaper alternative due to the lack of being triband.

Note they stated a Flint 3e. Not a regular Flint 3 like you posted. That said, I have not heard of the 3e, so I’ve no idea lol.

I’m aware that the Flint 3 has been on sale for a while and the specs are readily available, there is now a new version in beta testing called the Flint 3e which the specs have not been revealed for.

it mentioned duel band, i think that means it’s one of those typical wifi 7 with 5 + 2.4Ghz that does MLO.

Which should be more than enough for most customers.

Slightly lower than Flint3 in pricing (I think), 2.4GHz+5GHz MLO, slightly lower performance or flush with Flint3.

That is the 3e's positioning.

For more information, please wait for further announcement of the official website.
