Flint2 Wireguard

Hi, I've enabled Wireguard on the Flint2, created the Peer for my phone, installed the Wireguard app on my phone, and copied my QR code. But when I try to connect my phone to the router's VPN, I can't browse and I have no internet. Do I need to configure anything else?

Thank you.

Is this normal??

Mine shows the same with working Wireguard Server.

Flint 2 is your primary router?

You have a public facing IP address and/or a DNS public facing address?

Can you see a connection and traffic passing through on the VPN Dashboard?

Hi, yes, it's my first flint2, but I have a Xiaomi AX3600 with OpenWRT and WireGuard works fine. On flint2, I only get it to work properly for 2 hours, then I can't reconnect. I see that the phone sends packets but doesn't receive, and on the router, it doesn't receive anything. I have to reset flint2 to factory settings and recreate the VPN. It works again for 2 hours until it fails again. I don't know what to do.

Hello,

VPN service is based on the GL GUI. Please operate and control it on the GL GUI.
The OVPN/WG interface displays on Luci inaccurate information.

  1. Is the Flitn2 main router? Does it have a public IP in WAN? Is the public IP dynamic?

  2. If it is a dynamic IP, please try to enable the DDNS in Flint2, and use the DDNS (domain name) to connect the WG server on the phone.

  3. When a issue occurs, is the client's VPN still connected? Please enable Remote Access LAN

  4. Please use WG APP on the PC to test, for example, is ping reachable when the VPN issue (cannot browse and no internet)?

Hi, as you can see, I have everything activated as you mentioned, and I can't receive anything on my phone. I have a fixed IP address, and I had no problems getting it working on my previous OpenWRT router. I configured everything in the web interface, but I switched to OpenWRT to see if I could see any errors. I don't know where the problem could be. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,

How about the public IP of Flint 2 works ok in public Internet, please try on the Internet (like the phone or PC).

Hello again, I've followed all the steps, installed the beta version of flint 2, restored the router to factory settings, and I'm still getting the same result. If I restore the router to factory settings the first time I enable Wireguard, I can browse all day. The next day, I can no longer connect to Wireguard while maintaining the same IP address. Even if I turn the server off and on, I can't get the link and have to reinstall the router to factory settings.

So it seems that your ISP renewed your IP so that your wireguard server address (endpoint) changed. Can you use ddns in the wireguard config? You should have an option to do this when you generate the QR code.

I've reset the router to factory settings and reconfigured Wireguard, it seems to be working for now, fingers crossed
