Flint2, WPA3 and PPSK

First:

Please sent the contents of:

  • /etc/config/network
  • /etc/config/dhcp
  • /etc/config/firewall
  • /etc/config/wireless

This could help me to find possible the issue, my suspicion is that there is an issue with how vlans or interfaces are created.

As advise I want to give to start simplier from br-lan first because besides the guest and br-guest are also associated with scripts and not just obey simple firewall zone forwards but traffic rules, you need to clone these rules to match with the new interfaces too, so best for me is to look this to.

please discard any mac addresses (also because for the safety on devices on ipv6 or for in the future on certain ipv6 setups as some devices derive their ip from their mac you don't want to give a attacker this information trust me)

Discard also any passwords.

Which stanza do you recommend adding "option bridge_vlan 'br-iot' to? config wifi-iface, config wifi-station, or config wifi-vlan?

It has to be under wifinet4 the iface one.

Actually, both versions are MTK SDK.

If you check openwrt/feeds/mtk-openwrt-feeds - Gitiles

The original Flint2 firmware is the mediatek 21.02 branch at a specific release number and the same thing mediatek 24.10 branch for the op24 firmware.

Mediatek do have a 25.12 branch but it's not official yet, but hopefully GL will consider it when stable.

Not sure about this, nor can I confirm, but can be easily verified if mtk sdk there should be no mt76 present.

Looking to the wireless stanza it doesn't look for me to the mediatek sdk last time I checked.

But I left the gl firmware for some time now.
