Following successful initial setup, cannot access 192.168.8.1

Following successful initial setup, I powered down, then back up, and now cannot access 192.168.8.1. Using 192.168.8.1/index.html doesn’t work either.

I set WiFi access on an iPad Mini 2 running iOS 10.2.1 to the GL-MT300A (Azure) and it successfully logs into the router. Can also log in successfully with an iPhone 6 running iOS 10.2.1.

The only way I can get an internet connection is through wired LAN access - no WiFi access linked through my RT-AC66U home router. Plugging my DSL modem directly into the GL-MT300A’s WAN port doesn’t work.

And I cannot access the internet through my MacBook Air running OS X 10.11.6 when it’s connected to the GL-MT300A.

** How do I access 192.168.8.1 to re-configure the GL-MT300A?

** How do I make the GL-MT300A work as a WiFi repeater for internet access?

** How do I get the MacBook Air to access the internet through the GL-MT300A?

Don’t bother answering, I returned this router. Totally useless - it isn’t even heavy enough to use as a paperweight.

Doesn’t appear to be much going on “upstairs”, so use your head for that.
