My GL-A1300 is running Firmware 4.0.0 beta2. I am unable to manually upload an OpenVPN config file. It shows as Upload Successful, but then is not listed and the config file is not uploaded to /etc/openvpn/profiles folder. I also tried unsuccessfully to manually upload a NordVPN OpenVPN config file I downloaded from their website. The router is successful in automatically downloading from NordVPN provider directly. I am able to successfully manually upload WireGuard config files.
EDIT:
The problem appears to be that file names cannot have spaces/blanks. I was able to update OpenVPN config files after removing changing spaces/blanks to “.”.
I don’t think it should Upload Successful if it is not and I note that the GL-AXT1800 accepts file names with spaces/blanks.
I’ve got it today. First tests are not very hard. But as it is my third router, I already know you guys are making a great job.
One thing, so far: I can’t find the configuration for the VPN switch on the side. Since the routing isn’t working (connecting well but no routing to the internet. It could be an issue on my side, at the moment my home network is renewed completely) I really miss this feature, know from the Beryl/Slate AX.
One issue I have noticed is with the LED config in Luci. When you set white LED to off and save and apply it defaults to back on. It works fine for network activity but the blue LED cannot be configured at all. It shows briefly that the setting was applied but that defaults to off and the white defaults to on unless set to netdev for network activity.
I wanted blue for rx and white for tx but it doesn’t work. Please can this be fixed.
Although I would also like to see config options within the main UI for the LED.
Thank you for provide detailed steps. These two days we’ll relase beta3, that fix a spi nand related issue, that may cause abnormal high memory occupation.
I noticed that vlan via wan may does not work in this case my configuration:
AX6S the modem, has a network tagged with vlan id 53, and vlan 1 is untagged which should be the default.
Then my tp-link sg-1016de receives the tag on port 0 which is wan so I check this checkbox on port 0 for id 53 and I also select port 7 for vlan id 53 which is the port connected to the A1300, and all the other ports are untagged, see screenshot for reference:
now on the A1300 I just add a dhcp client with network: eth1.53 and it doesn’t get dhcp, I compared the behaviour with flint, and for flint it does work, something with the switch seems to be not right.
A1300 = beta2
Flint = 4.0.1 Beta2
note: port 5 was tagged for flint I forgot to check it again cus I removed the setup again
