anyone had problem with the GL-AR150 mini router and wont turn on?
it was working fine for ages thrn suddenly this morning it stopped working and wont turn on.
i opened the back cover abd noticed the part near the usb port is burnt out.
i can smell something melting too.
Attached is a pic of it.
It looks like the regulator in the power supply you have been using has failed and supplied over voltage burning out the AR150 power input.
I have seen similar when a 12volt USB car charger failed and put 12V onto the device with similar results.
looks like its dead meat.
was a great little unit. rip!
The AR300M-Lite is a great replacement if you don’t need the lan ethernet port. I just got one.
