I'm seeing frequent (up to every second) CTRL-EVENT-BEACON-LOSS events. GL-AR300M (NOR) in repeater mode. V4.3.18 firmware. Repeating from Solis Lite hotspot. Repeater appears to be functioning okay with two IoT clients and an iPad for the admin panel.
I noticed Wi-Fi mode was 11 g/n. I changed it to 11 b/g/n. This significantly reduced the number of beacon loss events.
Switched to 802.11 n only. Still getting bursts of several beacon loss messages, every few minutes. Would be nice to understand what's going on here.
This seems to be a re-occurring issue with GL iNet firmware. I have reported it in the past along with others. In my last case, it took a new version of firmware to fix it. GL iNet seems very focused on firmware on their newer routers, and the older products have been left behind.
In my case it seems to be functioning adequately with the few devices that are connected. I'm not sure how robust it is, but we'll see how it goes.
I'm getting a much higher rate of beacon loss events again. Maybe it's related to interference on the channel. The log is showing disconnections. If I can't get this resolved I'll have to pull this repeater and use something from another company.
